Hotels may become available because of:
- Cancellations: (more than 20% of booked hotel rooms are canceled on average per year)
- Release of held rooms: hotels may have some rooms on hold for overbookings or maintenance.
- No-show adjustments: hotels may release rooms for guests that do not show up.
- Last-minute availability: hotels may keep rooms vacant for last-minute bookings.
